Houston Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State Invites Members and Public to Annual Meeting

Apr 8, 2016

The Rev. Barry W. Lynn, Executive Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, will be featured speaker at the Houston chapter’s annual meeting. He will speak on “Separation Anxiety: What Is the Future of Church/State Separation?”

Rev. Lynn has been the executive director of Americans United for almost 25 years, and he is a lawyer and an ordained minister.  He will offer his unique perspective and insights gained from a wealth of experience on church-state controversies. Comedian Lewis Black says Rev. Lynn has a “devilish wit,” and audiences find him thoroughly entertaining.

Rev. Lynn has been a central player in every major church-state-separation battle for decades. He has penned several well-received books, appeared on national news broadcasts on all major television networks, and has had essays published in over a dozen of the most respected and widely circulated daily newspapers and national magazines.

Americans United of Houston holds its annual meeting as a way to bring together its local members and invite new members.  The event is open to the public, and both the event and parking are free.
