Board Member Al Kahn Interviewed on Local Radio
Americans United Houston board member Al Kahn was interviewed on KPFT’s Queer Voices on March 16 about religious refusals — the assertion of religion as an excuse for refusing service to others — and how AU is standing up to those who would harm others in the name of religion. He talked about a lawsuit that a Waco judge has filed against a TX agency that disciplined her for performing opposite-sex but not same-sex marriages and the Archdiocese of Houston-Galveston’s lawsuit’s for the right to discriminate against LGBTQ people in placing foster children. He also talked about Project Blitz, a theocratic drive to pass legislation in the states that weakens the separation of religion and government.
